About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Global Talent Acquisition, the People Analytics Business Intelligence Engineer will expand the reach and role of data among leaders and managers at Twitch. You will empower HR leaders to integrate data into their daily workflow.

You will empower the business to integrate data into their daily workflow by creating/maintaining data pipelines, developing analytics products, and working with clients on solutions. You will also guide customers and leaders on how to think about data to improve our people strategy including inclusion & diversity, talent acquisition, retention, and development.

This People BI Engineer will join a team of one, with the opportunity to help shape the function based on their unique approach.

You can work in San Francisco, CA or remotely across the US.

You Will:

  • Build and own data pipelines, SQL queries/views, and JavaScript apps
  • Automate processes through the use of JavaScript and other languages
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues in data pipelines
  • Ensure the integrity of People and Places data in analyses and tools through regular audits
  • Partner to develop analytics products and recommend opportunities
  • Develop ongoing metrics, analyses, and dashboards to guide important decisions
  • Lead projects and initiatives

You Have:

  • 3+ years of SQL experience
  • 1 year of JavaScript experience
  • 2+ Years related experience implementing data analytics, visualization tools and programs for HR working with Workday, Greenhouse, Tableau, Google Workspace, Google Data Studio, and Google Sheets
  • Analytical background and recent experience in business intelligence
  • Experience implementing software solutions to automate data source, visualization and analytics products
  • Experience working with senior team members
  • Bachelors in related field, or equivalent experience

Bonus Points

  • Experience with applied statistical methods in People Analytics (t-tests, correlation, regression, A/B testing)
  • Python and/or R experience
  • Demonstrated net positive contributor to company community and culture above and beyond the core job

The base pay range for this position in Colorado, Connecticut and Washington is $99,500 - $160,000 yr and in New York City is $109,500 - $185,000 yr. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
