About the Role

If you love words, this role is for you. Ramp is in a critical phase of growth – we’re looking to bring someone onto our growth team to write engaging, delightful, and enticing words that’ll live across our entire paid acquisition and lifecycle funnel. As an early member of Ramp’s Growth Innovation team, you’ll work closely with our internal growth, design, and marketing teams as well as a handful of external partners to connect the dots between delightful, brand-aligned copy & ads that convert.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive net new leads for Ramp across our entire funnel, from top-of-funnel awareness to bottom-of-funnel demand generation, with delightful copy that converts
  • Write net-new copy for ads (Facebook, Twitter, Google, LinkedIn, and dozens more), outbound email campaigns, lifecycle email campaigns, even OOH campaigns (billboards) 
  • Own the feedback loop of testing new copy and creatives, analyzing the results, and sharing learnings with our broader Growth, Marketing, Design, and Product teams
  • Edit copy and campaigns written by other teams before they’re pushed to production
  • Build and own our repository of our most convincing, compelling, converting phrases, words, sentences, and creatives across our dozens of ad channels backed by data
  • Enable and empower our Growth team to scale millions of dollars of ad spend

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum 2 years experience in ad copywriting, content, or journalism
  • Strong copywriting skills. We’re looking for someone whose words leap off the page
  • Experience in a cross-functional writing or editing role, specifically working between marketing, design, brand, and paid acquisition teams
  • An ownership mentality. We are looking for someone to think outside the box on how we talk about our products, learn what works, and scale/socialize those learnings
  • The confidence to take chances. We joined Ramp because we aren’t satisfied with average outcomes. We want our next teammate to share that aspiration for more

Nice to Haves:

  • Paid acquisition experience, owning campaigns from brief to post-hoc analysis
  • Experience at a high-growth-startup or paid acquisition agency
