About the Role

Ramp is hiring its first Total Rewards expert to join our People Operations team. As the first dedicated employee focused on Total Rewards you will help uplevel our strategy and own the implementation of all of our employee rewards, across the entire employee life-cycle. You will partner with leaders to identify team needs, with finance to identify the attractive compensation investments, and with the Talent team to ensure our programs are competitive.

What You'll Do

  • Own our total rewards strategy and compensation philosophy
  • Design and implement additions to our total rewards repertoire, such as annual bonuses 
  • Setup systems to effectively monitor the market, using data from both 3rd party vendors and our own operations
  • Serve as the internal expert on equity compensation, supporting recruiters, candidates, and hiring managers to better understand this component of their compensation 
  • Defining success-metrics of our Total Rewards efforts, and setup the processes to measure and analyze them

What You'll Need

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in total rewards or compensation including some combination of equity, cash, and benefits
  • Analytical thinking and a natural inclination to quantifying decisions
  • Strong writing skills to effectively communicate complex compensation decisions to leadership
  • Desire to learn and pick up new concepts, tools, and processes with limited oversight. Some of the tools we lean on include Radford, Pave, Zapier, and homebuilt spreadsheets
  • Low ego and an eagerness to help our partners achieve their goals that rely on our input 
  • Resourcefulness and ability to get far with a smaller team. We aim to provide tools and software to increase our output, rather than just adding headcount
  • Appreciation of speed - we like to move quickly and find that people who enjoy Ramp the most do so as well
