The role: Business Development Manager - China | Remote from China

We are seeking a successful Business Development Manager to join our China team, with a focus on our Sparkpost Email product. The ideal candidate will be an experienced hunter and industry email expert.You will be an integral part of our growing enterprise team.

You will focus on driving the Email product sales in the China team, managing the business to close and drive value for new customers as well as drive strategies to retain our current customer base.. You will also be working closely with the Head of International email Sales to ensure global alignment in our Emails go-to-market strategy. This role reports to the Country Manager, China.

What you’ll do

  • Be a leader in establishing, developing and growing relationships with new strategic, enterprise accounts. 
  • Develop new business within a targeted list of strategic accounts; land and develop these opportunities against goals.
  • Work with the SDR team to research target prospects and manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to securing the contract.
  • Consistently grow email annual recurring revenue value 
  • Create and deliver accurate pipeline forecasts
  • Work closely with Customer Success and Support teams to ensure email customer satisfaction
  • Make our customers successful!

What you’ll bring

  • 7+ years of progressively increased responsibility in B2B within the SaaS space - clearly demonstrating subject matter expertise
  • Demonstrated coaching and leadership skills in cross-collaboration, supporting, growing and guiding existing members of the Enterprise sales team.
  • Precision and clarity in communications.
  • Creative personality; problem-solving, presence and demeanour is essential.
  • High level of Sales competency and sales operational excellence.
  • Strategic account management driving sales growth.
  • Executive presence, demonstrated success in Emails Enterprise Sales 
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin. 
  • CPaaS/CCaaS experience is required.
  • High intellect and business acumen, ability to see opportunity in seemingly unrelated data.
  • Curiosity and a willingness to move fast, be wrong and improve.
