Vice President, Sales Development

We are looking for a Vice President, Sales Development to lead our growing SDR organization in accelerating BetterUps growth and global impact. You will lead a team of Sales Development Managers and a broader team of inbound and outbound global SDRs.

Data quality, learning, and execution is a core focus of this team. The Vice President, Sales Development will be responsible for developing the majority of the demand for our business by leading an organization of SDRs in prospecting enterprise businesses with the goal of expanding access to the BetterUp platform to millions of people around the world. We are looking for a leader who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where the business is constantly evolving.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Define the direction and build a modern and scalable sales development organization
  • Hire, lead and coach a strong management team to lead a rapidly growing and global sales development organization
  • Create and communicate clear team objectives and allocate individual objectives to reach business development team and BetterUp goals
  • Nurtures a data-driven culture leading with innovation, learning, and extreme ownership
  • Lead, mentor, recruit, and develop a diverse and effective sales development team focused on winning the largest logos on the planet
  • Enable our SDRs with clear line of sight to our strategy and priorities and to data and tooling that will elevate decision making 
  • Motivate the SDRs through clear communication, established sales activity expectations, and data driven forecasting and pipeline quality metrics
  • Coach sales development representatives on best practices and product/company vision, while providing conscious feedback and professional development
  • Drive tight integration with sales leadership for opportunity handoff and pipeline reviews
  • Present updates and progress company-wide in an effective manner that engages employees in the overall mission
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Enablement leadership to ensure team is supported and equipped to achieve the vision and strategy
  • Leads cross-functional change with a highly collaborative, courageous, and conscious leadership approach 
  • Keep the company informed on market intelligence regarding the coaching and mental well-being markets
  • Promote, maintain and enhance our High Impact Behaviors and BetterUp values with the team

 

If you have some or all of the following please apply: 

  • 10+ years leading an sales development organization in an high-growth and scaling tech-enabled organization
  • Expertise in prospecting strategies and tactics
  • Experience driving key metrics and daily activity, preferably in a SaaS organization
  • Experience leveraging data and analytics to drive team performance and inform the business on goal progress
  • Executive presence and ability to influence up and across the organization
