About The Team:

Drift’s Business Intelligence (BI) team sits at the center of all of our customer-facing teams, and we’re looking for someone who will help scale Drift’s analytics and reporting to support Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and Company Success. BI’s mission is to help drive data insights to support the business strategies.

About The Role:

As part of the Business Intelligence team, the BI Analyst will be responsible for driving cross functional projects that enable our teams to use data in building strategies. This role will be both technical and customer-centric as you will own the full project scope from requirements gathering and data discovery to delivery and change management. In this role you will be required to leverage our tech stack which includes Salesforce, Looker, Snowflake, DBT and more. The projects that you lead will have a high impact on our fast-growing business with visibility across the entire organization, including our Executive Leadership Team. 

What you will do on the Business Intelligence team:

  • Develop an expert-level understanding of the Drift data model and tech stack
  • Explore vast product usage and customer data model to uncover high-impact insights
  • Gather requirements and build data assets via Looker or other platforms to help our teams assess the performance of the business 
  • Create and own data analyses to drive insights in the performance of our business strategies
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering, and Operations to gather requirements and maximize impact of analytics projects
  • Work with stakeholders to translate business problems into hypotheses to prove/disprove through analytics practices
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management via visualizations and presentations

 

About you and what type of skills you’ll need:

  • 3-5 years of experience in an analytics-related role using SQL and data visualization tools such as: Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlik
  • Must have experience owning cross functional projects from inception to delivery at various levels of an organization, especially executive-level
  • Combination of strong technical and communication skills to interact with various levels of management and the broader organization 
  • Ability to deliver results independently in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with a strong sense of ownership
  • Independent/flexible problem-solver with the ability to adapt as the business grows
  • Experience or familiarity with Snowflake data warehouse preferred
  • Experience with statistics tools like Python or R is a plus
