The Role

TaxBit is looking for an Internal Communications Manager to join its Marketing & Communications team. You will serve as a key advisor to the TaxBit communications and leadership teams in this role. We work to tell impactful stories to our internal stakeholders, increasing morale and articulating the company-wide strategy while building confidence and trust. You are passionate about rallying employees around an organization's mission. If you enjoy working collaboratively and are a wordsmith who wants to be part of bringing big messages forward -- this is the role for you! It would be best to have previous experience working in communications, with impeccable writing skills, enjoy communicating, and being part of a fast-growing team. In addition, you should have deep experience leading proactive internal communications programming, managing cross-functional projects and teams, influencing and driving alignment across stakeholder groups and executives, and telling complex stories in a simple and compelling way. Additional qualities that will help you in this role: Attention to detail while remaining flexible in a fast-paced environment, you're comfortable working in ambiguity and take a sense of ownership across your work. 

The Internal Communications Manager will report to the VP of Communications at TaxBit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to craft and own the organization's internal communication strategy to ensure an engaged, informed, and aligned team.
  • Collaborate with the content team on the editorial calendar and manage all internal communication content and channels.
  • Provide proactive and reactive messaging to employees that support key initiatives and program rollouts.
  •  Understand the unique needs of the product, engineering, and business teams (goals, products, tools, process) to produce effective and relevant communication strategies.
  •  Identify opportunities to share organization milestones with the broader company audience.
  • Partner closely with other internal and external communications teams and HR, Diversity Equity & Inclusion, and Business Integration to align on communication opportunities.
  • Drive inspiring internal and virtual events (including internal 1:1 chats between members of our Executive Team and leading figures from throughout crypto, tech, and business) to foster connection and culture
  • Develop a deep understanding of TaxBit's unique differentiators and strategic vision 
  • Manage proactive/reactive communications and internal issues management (including a close partnership with our wider communications team)
  • Proactively identify opportunities and develop new communications programs/strategies to uplevel internal communications 
  • Write and edit internal announcements and leadership messages and technical priority updates for the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in an in-house or agency role(s) that requires exemplary communications skills, with a track record of working with C-suite executives
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, prioritizing clarity & brevity in all communications.
  • Experience interfacing with and supporting executives and thought leaders
  • Flexible and able to maintain a proactive, strategic mindset amidst shifting priorities
  • Experience communicating complex topics across multiple stakeholders alongside SMEs
  • High attention to detail and organization 
  • Able to think and do—you can both generate ideas and implement them
  • Able to balance speed and quality with an agile mindset
  • Deep curiosity about the intersection of Web2 and Web3
  • Commitment and passion for creating a diverse, inclusive, and safe culture for all employees

Nice to Haves

  • Experience at an fast-growing organization that has scaled quickly
