About the team:

Robinhood Snacks is one of the largest and fastest growing news sources in the finance industry. We aim to reinvent the way finance news is gathered, shared, and consumed for the next generation. The Editorial team is hiring a senior Markets Editor to serve as a deep, in-house markets subject matter expert and write, shape, and oversee a range of news and education products.

What you’ll do day-to-day:

This editor will lead markets coverage for our news team, supporting new formats and staple news products through incisive, on the pulse coverage and analysis. This role will also serve as a subject matter reviewer shaping and delivering investing education products within our Editorial team.

This role is crucial to ensuring best-in-class Editorial offerings as we optimize processes, offer more advanced news and education in the Robinhood app, scale our newsletter, and build out new video and visual products. 

The ideal candidate has strong expertise covering and/or editing markets news, with deep experience analyzing markets events and stocks, making real-time coverage decisions, and upleveling content to hone relevance and voice.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with the News team to oversee, pitch, develop, and write daily advanced financial markets and stocks coverage for a range of channels and formats
  • Serving as a key creator and subject matter expert for markets news and investing education products to serve customers in high impact ways
  • Ensuring a high quality bar for coverage prioritization, accuracy, analysis, digestibility, voice, and resonance with key cultural topics 
  • Upholding Robinhood's Editorial standards and working closely with internal reviewers to finalize coverage

About you:

  • 5+ years of experience as a journalist, writer, or editor, with deep experience covering markets
  • Excellent editorial judgment
  • Passionate about making complex financial topics digestible for a broad audience
  • Flexibility and willingness to experiment creatively to improve our editorial
  • Collaborative spirit working with cross-functional partners

Bonus points:

  • Deep knowledge of options, from fundamentals to advanced trading strategies
  • Love for finding creative, new ways to explain key markets concepts
