About the role

We’re looking for a hardworking, driven individual with superb energy, passion and initiative for new business acquisition and developing existing business with the Public Sector. The Senior Enterprise Account Executive Public Sector role focuses exclusively on formulating and executing a sales strategy within an assigned territory, resulting in revenue growth and new customer acquisition.

What you will be doing

  • Proactively, identify, qualify and close a sales pipeline
  • Strategically prospect into CTOs, Engineering/IT Leaders, & technical end users
  • Use relationship management techniques to develop selling opportunities within partner organizations; penetrate new divisions and organizations within assigned partner accounts; develop new selling relationships within assigned partner accounts; develop new direct selling opportunities
  • Partner with our Solution Architects and work closely with the Professional Services team to achieve customer satisfaction
  • Work closely with the enterprise ecosystem partner sales and channel partner to maximize deal sizes
  • Participate in our sales enablement trainings, including our comprehensive Sales Bootcamp, sophisticated sales training, and leadership and development programs
  • Recommend marketing strategies
  • Provide status information to your Manager including forecast/pipeline information
  • Identify MongoDB customer references that can be utilized when reference selling
  • Forecast accuracy for business monitoring through standard tools like SFDC
  • Respond to RFPs and follow up with prospects

What you will bring to the table

  • 10+ years field experience of quota-carrying experience in a fast-paced and competitive market with a focus on closing net new logos 
  • Selling and account management in the Public Sector is required for this position
  • Proven sales track record of success selling technology into the Public Sector in the assigned territory/account set
  • Demonstrated ability to open new accounts and run a complex sales process
  • Ability to articulate the business value of complex enterprise technology
  • Skilled in building business champions
  • Driven and competitive. Possess a strong desire to be successful
  • Ability to work collaboratively with employees within the sales function and across functions including Marketing, Sales Operations, System Engineering, and Product Development
  • Fluent in English
  • Must live in territory (Paris)

  • Familiarity with databases, develops and open source technology a plus
