About the Role

A TPM takes a problem from ideation to execution, and then drives that execution across the company. They are owners of a technical program's lifecycle and overall strategy, from start to finish. They see the big picture and are constantly looking around corners for new opportunities and risks.

As a TPM you will apply your technical skills to correctly capture requirements, plan for dependencies, and make partner teams more efficient. You know how to apply technology. You will help establish goals, measure progress, manage dependencies, and clear blockers. You help guide the team's roadmap and apply the lessons of their past successes and failures to a growing program. You will solve new problems unique to Twitch and help build a company-wide engineering culture focused on data governance and operational excellence.

You can work in San Francisco, CA; Irvine, CA; Seattle, WA; New York, NY; Salt Lake City, UT; or remote US!

You Will:

  • Own delivery of cross-functional programs.
  • Be a good steward for the Data Platform organization to drive impact across all of Twitch
  • Create strategic cross-functional planning, leading discovery and prioritization by partnering with engineering and product leads to develop program plans, including roadmap, dependency identification, and resourcing.
  • Establish and improve adoption of program frameworks, tools and best practices.
  • Report into a TPM organization under the CTO, and support the VP Engineering, Data Platform

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience as a technical program manager.
  • Technical experience and ability to contribute to technical design discussions, identify challenges and risks, working with engineers on addressing challenges and form mitigation plans.
  • Excellent Program Management skills, including project planning, milestone tracking and execution.
  • Experience using data to make decisions and evaluate the impacts of those decisions.

Bonus Points

  • BS degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • Years of demonstrated experience working in data infrastructure.
  • Experience with cloud-based applications
  • Familiarity with the Twitch product and community

The base pay range for this position in Colorado, Connecticut and Washington is $134,550 - $164,450 yr and in New York City is $148.050 - $180,950 yr. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
