About the Role

Twitch's Community Department builds products that focus on core user needs and essential customer technologies. We are looking for a Principal Program Manager to help establish how we work together as a 350+ person multi-organization product development department. If you're excited about unlocking the work of others, passionate about how people work together, and committed to sustainable work practices, this may be the role for you.

The Principal Program Manager will partner with managers and executive leaders within Community and throughout Twitch to design and run programs that promote communication, unblock teams, and ensure we are building the right products at the right time. You will work with autonomy, understand partner needs, influence through writing and presentations, and collaborate across Twitch. If this sounds like you, please come join us in building exciting products and a healthy, supportive working environment.

You Will:

  • Evaluate existing department operations and determine what good looks like– what stays, what goes, what should we do instead?
  • Oversee department process and business rhythms
  • Report directly to the TPM and Operations director
  • Develop clear, responsive, JIRA-based reporting of department resource allocation, velocity, and other execution health metrics
  • Unlock information and insights for Program Managers, Product Managers, and Engineering Managers to help teams work smarter, with less repeated work or time spent chasing dependencies
  • Work with operational team managers to improve their teams' work processes to support Twitch's global business
  • Write business documents, proposals, and reports for department and executive team review
  • Help establish program management and development operations for Twitch

You Have:

  • Excitement about bringing definition to ambiguous problems
  • Experience standing up scaled processes from the ground up and iterating on existing software development process
  • Experience developing and running programs to support live-ops, always-on software development
  • Influenced leaders and partners from the individual contributor to executive level of organizations
  • 5+ years of experience working with JIRA as an admin or power user
  • 8+ years of program management, project management, or operations management experience in software or tech
  • Developed and maintained data-driven project management reporting

Bonus Points

  • Direct experience with consumer web software development as a program manager, project manager, or operations manager
  • Could be described as a JIRA Expert
  • You have a favorite Twitch streamer

Perks

  • Medical, Dental, Vision & Disability Insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Maternity & Parental Leave
  • Flexible PTO
  • Amazon Employee Discount
  • Monthly Contribution & Discounts for Wellness Related Activities & Programs (e.g., gym memberships, off-site massages, etc.)
