About the Role

Twitch is the world's largest live-streaming service, and as the Director of Social Media and Community Marketing for EMEA you will be a strategic leader, sitting within the EMEA Marketing team. You'll have experience with best-in-class social media activity for an array of brands and disciplines, whilst being at the forefront of the latest industry trends. You will have grown and nurtured sizeable brand communities and understand how to be the voice of the community, advocating for their needs to the business. You'll have built and scaled international digital operations and demonstrated tangible growth to business metrics as a result of your integrated campaigns.

Based in London, you will lead a team who oversee the strategies, campaigns and content for social media and community marketing within the region. You will create programmes that aim to excite, engage, and educate creators and their communities who are the beating (purple) heart of Twitch. You will have an international remit encompassing the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain with opportunities for future geographic growth.

You will report to the EMEA Marketing Director and work with regional and global teams to ensure delivery against our priorities.

You Will:

 

  • Oversee the social media and community marketing strategy and media approach for Twitch across all of EMEA
  • Lead the EMEA Social Content Manager to manage the content production for multiple social channels in multiple markets week-on-week
  • Lead the EMEA Community Marketing Manager to create highly visible and successful campaigns that excite, engage and educate our creators and their communities
  • Run the strategic relationship with our social media agency, who create always on daily and planned campaign content
  • Develop goals and strategy based on insights from analytical reporting of our marketing activity
  • Understand creators' needs, beliefs, and aspirations and be a senior advisor around the power of community and act as the voice of the creator, highlighting both opportunities, challenges and solutions
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in our marketing and our business
  • Crisis management responsibilities across the continent, working hand in hand with Comms
  • Lead and motivate individuals and teams and foster an inclusive workplace
  • Work collaboratively, balancing the needs across the business including content and BD, breaking down complex narratives into simple, compelling ideas
  • Have an empathetic, community-first frame of mind

You Have:

  • Success as a leader within social media, community marketing or related field
  • Experienced in using creator and consumer insights to create goals and strategies
  • Experience with social media networks, and how best to use them (Including: Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat and more)
  • Passion for content creation specific for new media, video content, social content and paid advertising campaigns
  • International marketing exposure within multi-functional organisations with varied regional audiences
  • Experienced in growing an online and IRL community and building brand advocates
  • Have managed a large scope of agency relationships, or have worked in agencies and client services
  • Experienced in leading and nurturing teams and experienced in managing all levels of team members
  • On time and on budget delivery of all major design, marketing projects
  • You've got a pulse on local and regional cultural trends
  • A passion for live streaming, gaming and new media channel

  • Have business-level proficiency in a second language (either French, German or Spanish)
