The Business Development Representative (BDR) is an individual contributor role reporting directly to BDR Manager. The successful candidate will play a critical role in expanding our presence in key territories and converting prospects into Conviva sales opportunities.

The Business Development Representative will work closely with the Marketing Team to help optimize the volume and quality of in-bound Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs), develop Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) and coordinate directly with the sales team to ensure seamless transition of opportunities. Like any high performing team, you will be measured by opportunity generation and will be given the flexibility to create a book of business of your own. We encourage account development through outbound prospecting, social selling, networking, attending trade shows and field marketing events, and any sales activity that would contribute to expanding the Conviva brand. In summary, you will be the first line of engagement with future customers and will have an impact on the success of Conviva as an organization.

What You Get to Do:

  • Develop and execute on cold calling and email campaign strategies to qualify potential customers as a match for Video analytics suite
  • Develop SQLs, qualify outbound opportunities and develop a strong demo and in-person meetings pipeline for Sales Directors via phone and email communications.
  • Work with Marketing to generate high volume of relevant MQLs.
  • Articulate Conviva value proposition via demos, presentation, emails and phone calls.
  • Meet weekly and monthly qualified opportunity goals to ensure company revenue objectives are met.
  • Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of the Conviva technology, industry trends, and competition.
  • No/occasional travel.

What You Bring to the Role:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a BDR/SDR role (outbound lead generation) in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for technology.
  • Less talking, active listening. Able to uncover Prospects’ pain points and match them to Conviva’s offerings.
  • Self-starter, strong work ethic and hungry, with a drive for achievement.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Good knowledge/experience in SEM, Social selling is a plus.
  • Sales training, pre-call planning, or software experience is a plus.
