As the Marcom Production Director, you will lead a team of talented producers who collectively drive the launch of our products and various marketing initiatives in support of launch events. You serve as the senior level connection point for the Production team between Creative, Marketing, Program Management and other XFN partners. You will ensure delivery of work executed flawlessly, on time, on-budget, and in alignment with broader strategic goals. You have proven deep expertise in shipping work across interactive, film, in product and social surfaces.  Beyond delivering the work itself, you will be responsible for mentorship, coaching and strategic support to the Producer team. You are always looking ahead and are a key contributor to our twice a year planning cycles. You  proactively bring creative and operational solutions to the table. You thrive in ambiguity and have a deep understanding of how to navigate an organization and collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Head of Production, Creative, Program Management and Marketing team to drive the successful launches of our products and all marketing efforts that support launch.
  • Elevate creativity through strategic and creative production approaches and solutions.
  • Own team-level roadmapping, budget forecasting, actualization and spend allocation. Partner with GCDs and ECDs on holistic vision and operational execution. 
  • Lead a team that can proactively define better ways to quickly communicate, collaborate and ship products and systems, using state-of-the-art tools and at the highest quality standards. 
  • Lead and drive end to end creative workflows from creative development through delivery. 
  • Able to hire and manage top talent and provide strong onboarding and archiving process.
  • Build influence in cross-functional partnerships and is a clear and concise communicator.
  • Seek out new production production partners and ensure Airbnb is a leader in this space.
  • Ensuring a DE&I lens is applied to all phases of the creative process.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of professional experience in marketing production 
  • Deep Interactive and Marketing operations experience in the web technology sector and the ability to contribute at both strategic and operational levels
  • Experience working with hardware and software design (UI/UX), product design, engineering film-making, print, social and experiential. 
  • Experience in global production, including trans-creation and localization
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, often ambiguous, start-up environment
  • Experience managing large, complex budgets across multiple cost centers
  • Is a manager and leader with organization and people skills and the ability to set priorities, problem-solve, and work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
  • Self-driven, organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
  • Critical thinker with the ability to process information and varying demands and come up with creative solutions
  • Proven experience developing operating models that work and drive efficiency 
  • Experience in developing design standards and design tools

The starting base pay for this role is between $215,000 and $270,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: education, experience, and skills. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
