About the Role

We are looking for junior software engineers with excellent coding fundamentals and the curiosity to operate across our team's diverse technology stack. You should consider this role if you have the passion or curiosity for any of the following things:

  • Designing and delivering highly visible features that will be used and experienced by millions of Twitch creators and viewers
  • Internet-scale systems that receive and process billions of transactions per day
  • Collaboration with senior engineers, product managers, designers, and data scientists

You Will:

  • Design and implement software to support the Twitch's suite of Promotions products
  • Lead technical design discussions and participate in code reviews with your engineering peers
  • Improve the observability of our tech stack by instrumenting automated tests, metrics, logging, and alarms
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate technically ambiguous goals towards clarity
  • Report to the Engineering Manager of Promotions

You Have:

  • A bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or prior professional software engineering experience
  • 1+ years of experience building frontend web applications, backend systems, and APIs
  • Knowledge of fundamental data structures and algorithms
  • Proficiency in any of the following coding languages: Golang, Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, or similar languages

Bonus Points

  • Have experience in any AWS cloud services such as EC2, ECS, Lambda
  • Have experience working on data pipelines and large datasets such as Kinesis, DynamoDB, SQL
  • Have experience with web technologies such as TypeScript, React, GraphQL
