About the Role

Twitch is building the future of interactive entertainment. The services we create for our users have deep, lasting effects on their lives. For many of our creators, streaming on Twitch is a career, and our payment systems are central to making this possible. We're operating at a massive scale and you'll help millions of creators to earn a living doing what they love.

As as Engineering Leader focused on growing creators revenue, you will lead a team of engineers to build next-gen payments platform and the customer journey for purchase and payments experience. Your team will also build and own capabilities that would allow other Twitch product teams to launch new commerce products. You will partner with other engineering leaders, product managers, designers, data specialists and program managers to launch well-engineered products that delight customers. You will report to Director of Engineering of the Payments team.

You can work in Seattle, WA; Irvine, CA; San Francisco, CA; Salt Lake City, UT or remote on the West Coast.

You Will:

  • Lead a team of engineers to build full stack web systems.
  • Build trust and foster a collaborative team culture of engineering excellence.
  • Hire and develop inclusive teams in which people are empowered to do the best work of their careers.
  • Strategize and influence product vision and roadmap in collaboration with the product management, UX and Data science teams.
  • Influence technical direction by making important technical decisions and strategic planning.
  • Exemplify the highest standards of operational excellence and platform quality.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of technical experience building web services, cloud infrastructure and system design.
  • 2+ years of technical management experience (people management.)
  • Experience hiring, mentoring, and growing careers of engineers 
  • Exceptional Customer obsession and strong focus on delivering high quality software.

Bonus Points

  • Experience building Commerce or Payments systems.
  • Familiarity with Twitch, either as a viewer or creator.
  • Experience using AWS, React or Go programming language.
