In this role:

You will be working in an innovative team responsible for the core web platform. Your day to day will be dedicated to improving the developer experience of our web platform. You will build tools and libraries for our engineers. You will help evangelize the patterns and practices to inform our product engineering teams to deliver best in class features. Work will be interesting and varied, such as working with our design team on our design system, building libraries to support our engineers, solving performance issues, meeting and working closely with other engineering teams and optimizing our build and deploy pipeline.

Ultimately, you will work for a highly experimental and data-driven team that creates a ton of value for our diners and restaurants. As an engineer on the team, you will be involved in the design and architecture of the core web systems and work with your teammates to ensure that our systems are robust, secure, and well-designed. You will be an authority in your area of responsibility answering queries from other teams.

Please apply if you have:

• Knowledge of JavaScript (2+years)
• Understanding of async design patterns
• Experience in GraphQL
• Understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Strong understanding of React/Redux Framework
• Deep knowledge of Node.js and a server framework like Express
• Experience working within a distributed SOA architecture
• A love for tuning performance and making things faster
• Unit test / TDD experience
• A client- and team-focused mindset, can react well to changes and multitask on multiple products and projects
