Our Enterprise Engineering team is currently looking for a Head of Business Systems to join us!

The Enterprise Engineering (EE) team is an employee-facing team at Vanta with the mission to provide Vanta'ns with a stellar experience with tools and technologies they need to do their best work.

As the Head of Business Systems, you will be responsible for delivering some of Vanta’s most important projects to drive our strong top-line growth. The main responsibility of this position will be to partner and cultivate a deep partnership with our business teams and key stakeholders to effect the implementation of our technology stack across People Ops, Sales/Go-To-Market (GTM), Customer Experience (CX), Finance, and Legal. This is a challenging role, but you will directly manage and influence some of the biggest systems transformations going on that will ensure we meet our aggressive growth goals. This is an amazing opportunity to join on the ground floor of the team and help provide enriching experiences from onboarding to support while assisting in scaling the Business Systems team as the business grows. 

 
What you’ll do as a Head of Business Systems at Vanta:
  • Create the vision and strategy for our Business Systems ecosystem and align its roadmap with our partners and process areas.
  • Define and drive technical architecture and governance with stakeholders and promoting technology and process best practices throughout the organization.
  • Cultivate a culture of deep trusted partnerships, delivering high-quality services, and finding ways to improve based upon setting joint business and technology goals.
  • Partner with Vanta executives in GTM Ops, Sales, Finance, People team, Customer Experience, Legal and Product on business strategy tied to new product introductions, go-to-market and financial backend integrations, etc.
  • Strong blend of business sense and process knowledge: You evaluate things holistically and think through the objectives, impacts, best practices, and what will be simple and scalable.
  • Evaluate implementation vendors and provide recommendations on scope and scale of effort required to develop solutions. Manage implementation vendors as selected to drive high-quality deliverables on schedule and budget.
  • Lead and manage system upgrades, rollouts and implementations, testing, developing workflows, documenting processes, user acceptance, developing policies and ensuring they are followed.
 
How to be successful in this role:
  • Experience and a passion for being hands-on with the administration of various business systems and platforms
  • 10+ years of experience working on IT/Corporate systems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to effectively collaborate and drive initiatives cross-functionally
  • Proven ability to hire, manage, and mentor high-performing teams
  • Proven track record of managing complex application program portfolios and delivering to the defined objectives

About Vanta
We started Vanta in 2016 as Equifax had lost every American's social security number, Home Depot had leaked its customers' credit card numbers to hackers, and Facebook admitted that it irresponsibly sent user data to third parties who tried to influence the US election. It was clear that security and privacy had become mainstream issues, and that we all increasingly relied on cloud services to store everything from our personal photos to our communications at work.
 
Vanta's mission is to be the layer of trust on top of these services, and to secure the internet, increase trust in software companies, and keep consumer data safe.
 
We do this by building an automated head of security for technology companies, and we use that system to both help a company secure itself and to prove their security to others.
 
If we succeed in our mission, it should feel irresponsible for users to put data into a product that isn't certified by Vanta, and irresponsible for companies to collect data without using Vanta to secure and monitor themselves.
