As a Partner Relations Associate at Vanta, you will elevate our approach to our auditor partnership process, assisting with the relationship between Vanta customers and our partner auditors during audit engagements.
 
The process of pairing auditors and customers during onboarding is integral to the Vanta customer experience. Alongside this, our audit and consulting partners are critical to Vanta’s business as we continue to scale our product and customer base. As a Partner Relations Associate, you will be the “match-making” expert, assisting in all queries around pairing customers with the best-fit Vanta network auditors. As the liaison between customers and auditors, you will also be responsible for assisting customers in understanding auditor requests, while also reporting on auditor processes internally.  
 
You will work closely with the Partner Relations Managers to collect and manage all information around our audit partners, as well as create any new enablement resources necessary to ensure best-fit introductions and a seamless audit experience. In this role, you will be an advisor for the Customer Success and Sales teams, enabling the best fit auditor introductions, as well as managing any customer or auditor escalations.  As such, we’re looking for a process-driven and organized individual, who is empathetic and a good communicator.
 
What you’ll do as a Partner Relations Associate at Vanta:
  • Ride-along audits from beginning to end, acting as the internal audit expert and a consultant to customers.
  • Create and manage all audit team resources, including our internal partner information worksheet.
  • Assist in managing our audit team Slack channels around audit specific questions and escalations from customer success, support and sales.
  • Become an expert on Vanta’s auditor network, including pricing and audit processes.
  • Learn the Vanta product from both the customer and partner perspective.
  • Provide any product and operational support needed for our customers and partners to be successful in working through audits with Vanta.
 
How to be successful in this role:
  • Must have 1.5+ years of direct experience in one of the following:  SOC 2, ISO27001, HIPAA or GDPR.
  • In addition, you might have direct customer relationship-management experience (pre or post-sales, customer success, support, implementation) with a track record of successful customer relationships. You deeply understand customers and have built the trust needed for challenging conversations. 
  • Have experience liaising cross-functionally, and empathizing with / assisting internal teams 
  • Be confident in contributing to important conversations, including asking difficult questions, and in some cases pushing back.
  • Be capable of learning and articulating a technical product to a technical audience. 
  • Be exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in leveraging tools to drive your workflow, such as Salesforce.

We started Vanta in 2016 as Equifax had lost every American's social security number, Home Depot had leaked its customers' credit card numbers to hackers, and Facebook admitted that it irresponsibly sent user data to third parties who tried to influence the US election.
