MongoDB is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join the Cloud Services Team. You will be joining the newly created Cloud Frontend Platform Team that is focused on strengthening and improving the frontend experience for our customers and MongoDB Cloud engineers.

This is a new and exciting team tackling challenging projects such as responsive layout, dark mode, accessibility, internationalization, and designing frontend frameworks that will be used by every MongoDB Cloud product team.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in New York City for our hybrid working model.

Our ideal candidate

• Has worked on complex, production-ready web applications
• Deeply understands JavaScript and is familiar with modern JavaScript APIs and syntax
• Has a robust understanding of HTML and CSS core concepts and best practices
• Writes high quality code and is capable of making small backend improvements in a compiled language (Java, C#, etc.)
• Is knowledgeable about a wide range of web and internet technologies
• Has a passion for creating resilient, scalable, and maintainable software
• Is excited to improve the experiences of our users, both internal and external
• Is experienced with building highly-interactive applications using React
• Is experienced in configuring and debugging frontend tooling. Examples include: TypeScript, Webpack, Emotion CSS, Redux, Jest, React Testing Library, Enzyme, Backbone
• Has at least 3 years of experience as a software engineer
