About the Role

Ramp is looking for a Business Systems Engineering Manager to join the growth engineering team. Here at Ramp, we believe that world-class engineers are key to the success of our go-to-market functions. In this role you will partner with business leaders as well as Data and Product teams to build enterprise applications architecture. Business Systems engineering problems are often greenfield and this role offers space for flexibility and creativity.

What You’ll Do

  • Gather business requirements from sales, marketing, and operations teams to define how business systems at Ramp co-operate
  • Work closely with IC admins and operators to document data inflows and outflows across different systems
  • Play a leading role in developing growth technology infrastructure and the Customer Data Platform use cases
  • Produce testing frameworks and metrics to further the reliability of our go-to-market enterprise technologies
  • Lead and mentor other engineers across various teams within the engineering department

What You Need

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a software development role preferred
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to build trust with functional leaders and managers
  • Experience with Hubspot, Salesforce, Outreach, or equivalent platforms
  • Familiarity with CDP platforms rolled in-house or as-a-service
  • Data modeling and backend programming experience
  • Experience shipping fast, reliable, real-time applications using modern development tools
  • Ability to improvise and develop creative solutions when common approaches fail. Strong value of pragmatism over idealism in times of uncertainty

Nice to Haves

  • Start up experience as a technical co/founder, growth, or data roles
  • Experience with data pipelining and engineering
