What you can do for Expel

  • Instill a positive impression of Expel in candidates by making sure they are promptly and entertainingly engaged throughout the recruiting experience
  • Ensure our approach to recruiting fosters diversity and inclusion
  • Guide our hiring managers in understanding the skills, traits and experiences needed and creatively source candidates
  • Continually measure and improve the effectiveness and quality of our recruiting process and systems, so we can hire the people we need to grow
  • Build out talent networks and tap knowledgeable industry sources to develop an ongoing pool of candidates
  • Lead a happy, growing, and effective recruiting team
  • Understand Expel’s business strategy and competitive positioning
  • Collaborate across all levels of management to confirm alignment on headcount needs

What you should bring with you

  • Adaptability and a learner’s mindset
  • 10+ years of experience in full life cycle recruiting for all levels of technical, sales, and operational positions in a tech environment
  • 3+ years of leading/managing a recruiting team of 3 or more
  • Experience hiring in international markets
  • A love for using Excel/Sheets, data analysis and visualization
  • Strong active listening and conversational skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to consistently set and meet expectations
  • Familiarity with one or more applicant tracking systems (e.g. Greenhouse) and a desire to always reduce friction in systems and processes
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalently compelling series of life experiences

Our headquarters is in Herndon, Virginia. However, we realize that while there is a benefit to in-person interaction, good people don’t all live in Northern Virginia. Remote work is an option for this role.
