Your mission 🚀


Our user base is growing astronomically and we are building with them in mind. We’re looking for a creative and innovative Technical Writer to build engaging and insightful content and resources which help our users to grow their projects.


What you’ll be doing ✨


You’ll become a Pusher expert and use your knowledge to build impactful, user-driven content which effectively demonstrates the power of our products and promotes engagement. 

You’ll be a critical part of our user success strategy; analyzing our existing content and building on this to create a catalogue of intuitive technical resources for all our audiences.You’ll partner with our engineering team to own the documentation site and act as a champion for our tone of voice across the platform.


You day to day will look like:


  • Collaborating with our domain experts in software engineering and user support to identify and address information gaps
  • Writing, editing and maintaining Pusher’s technical documentation including product manuals, quickstart guides, product release notes and technical tutorials
  • Planning technical content materials to support creative and engaging user campaigns
  • Advising on writing best practices and user-friendly terminology for our website and developer platform
  • Working with the Developer Advocate to produce exciting technical content for all of our channels including the Pusher blog and YouTube


You will work closely with all departments at Pusher. You’ll collaborate with the product, engineering and communications teams to build on our content objectives, support feature launch campaigns and promote our tone of voice across all channels.

You’re a talented technical writer with a passion for software and technology. If you love code, love to teach and want to share your skills with a variety of personas then this is the role for you.


We’re looking for a positive and energetic person to join our innovative team. You’ll enjoy collaborating on new ideas and have a talent for communicating your knowledge to technical and non-technical audiences through a variety of channels.

Experience we’re looking for:

  • 2-4 years experience in a technical writing role for software products with a strong user focus
  • You are used to working closely with engineering teams and have a strong grasp of the software development lifecycle
  • You have outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the capacity to articulate high-level concepts to new or non-technical audiences
  • You are not afraid to use the software you are writing about and break things to understand how things work (or do not work) and feedback to the relevant teams
  • You have a good understanding of tone of voice and love communicating with developers
  • You have experience of working with tools and platforms to produce and publish content. Knowledge of various CMS (WordPress, Prismic, Contentful) and GitHub is a bonus.
  • You are skilled in HTML, CSS and Markdown
