The role: Junior People Operations Specialist

As our Junior People Operations Specialist, you’ll be mainly responsible for the planning and performing of the day-to-day HR tasks within MessageBird.

With your administrative contribution you’ll make it possible for the HR team to employ fellow colleagues (or ‘Birds’ as we like to call them) across the globe. Your love for working with people, data and your experience with (international) employment legislation, combined with your amazing social skills make you the perfect addition to MessageBird.

 What you’ll do

  • Coordinate and perform day-to-day HR tasks relating to the whole employee lifecycle
  • Responsible for supporting the business with administrative requirements for onboarding, contracting and talent management
  • Ensure we satisfy local and international employment standards and legislative HR requirements
  • Keeping yourself informed about local employment legislation changes and updating the team accordingly
  • Work with the People team to manage and improve HR Operations workflows that support the team and the wider business
  • Ensure integrity of HR data

What you’ll bring

  • Exposure to HR (f.e. In an HR internship), preferably in a fast-growing company
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field of studies
  • Exposure to  Dutch employment law is preferred
  • The drive to help and support people is in your nature
  • Well organised, structured, detail oriented and analytical
  • Able to follow procedures, while also able to be flexible and think outside-the-box
  • Responsible, hands-on, and able to prioritise
  • Great social skills and the ability to form working relationships with people at all levels
  • You can easily cope in a dynamic environment
  • Professional communication skills in English are required for this role
  • Dutch language skills are strongly preferred
  • Experience with employment law in several countries is a big plus
