Vanta is on a mission to secure the internet and protect consumer data. Before Vanta, companies were stuck in a perpetual cycle of having to make the feature vs compliance and security tradeoff. Vanta has automated and streamlined the process of getting secure and compliant for thousands of companies through deep integrations and automation.

Having the right data to make good product and business decisions is critical to high-growing SaaS businesses. As the Head of Analytics at Vanta, you’ll be responsible for building the systems and team necessary to inform Vanta’s business and product strategy. You will act as a partner to all of the cross-functional leaders by turning data into actionable insights. 

You will:

  • Build a team to serve and support all of Vanta’s internal data needs
  • Build and maintain appropriate data/analytics dashboards to provide executive leadership and other stakeholders with relevant real-time or near-real-time data and analysis 
  • Constantly assess the business' KPIs and find opportunities for improving what we’re measuring, how we’re measuring, and creating insights to help accelerate our ability to achieve them
  • Influence company and department-level strategy through data-driven insights and business understanding
  • Act as a strategic thought partner to other functions, and work with each team to build reports and dashboards relevant to driving their business outcomes
  • Cultivate effective and balanced self-service analytics, empowering teams to easily and consistently answer questions with data
  • Set the standard for how data informed teams should operate across Vanta

You might:

  • Have prior experience building and mentoring data teams teams at fast growing companies
  • Possess advanced knowledge of the latest tools and techniques for data analysis and don’t mind getting your hands dirty when needed
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills and proven ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Be a team player who understands the collaborative nature of this work with the ability to influence at C-suite level in a cross-functional environment
  • Have an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
  • Have 5+ years of relevant applied experience
  • Have 4+ years of management experience

About us

We started Vanta in 2017 as Equifax had lost every American’s social security number, Home Depot had leaked its customers’ credit card numbers to hackers, and Facebook admitted that it irresponsibly sent user data to third parties who tried to influence the US election. It was clear that security and privacy had become mainstream issues, and that we all increasingly relied on cloud services to store everything from our personal photos to our communications at work.

Vanta’s mission is to be the layer of trust on top of these services, and to secure the internet, increase trust in software companies, and keep consumer data safe.

We do this by building an automated head of security for technology companies, and we use that system to both help a company secure itself and to prove their security to others.

If we succeed in our mission, it should feel irresponsible for users to put data into a product that isn’t certified by Vanta, and irresponsible for companies to collect data without using Vanta to secure and monitor themselves.
