QA Engineer | Remotely from EMEA

As a QA Test Automation Engineer at MessageBird, you will be responsible for helping us to improve our software development processes and preventing defects to reach production and consequently our customers. You work closely with our Product development teams, supporting them to define and execute testing strategies for current and new products. And you focus on automated end-to-end quality assurance of the products & services. 

Our Product Engineering teams have the freedom and authority to create impactful products to empower both our internal and external customers. We use an agile development methodology, meaning we deploy code multiple times per day while ensuring our applications are rigorously tested and statically analyzed.

Who you are

You are a smart & ambitious, creative Engineer with an innovative mindset and a data-driven approach to your work. Alongside this, you are an effective communicator that is able to convey your ideas clearly and concisely to multiple audiences and keen to mentor other Engineers across the team. 

What you’ll do

  • Enable product and engineering team to include, in a consistent manner, quality in early stages of the software development flow;
  • Support product and engineering team to define and run tests at all levels, and provide them with test coverage insights with clear and actionable reports; 
  • Define, implement and maintain a reliable testing infrastructure to ensure efficient and stable continuous integration pipelines, maximizing teams productivity and customers satisfaction

What you’ll bring

  • At least 3 years of relevant software development experience. Experience in programming Go is a bonus
  • Strong experience with all different levels of testing, including Unit Test, Integration and end-to-end tests
  • Experienced in the specification and development of test cases in relevant frameworks
  • Hands-on attitude, supporting team looking under the hood to find the best strategies to test their systems
  • Eagle-eyed, detail oriented, with an ability to solve problems and identify issues both visually and through various methodologies
  • Open to learning and experimenting (a lot!)
