 We are seeking a senior technical Program Manager for the Ad Technology team. The Ad Technology team focuses on building products to bring insights into video ads engagement and quality. This position is best suited for someone with a technical background, who is highly organized, good at multitasking and has extraordinarily effective communication skills. You will be working closely with one or more teams in a group to facilitate delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-location software initiatives. You will need to ensure we meet customer requirements while delivering software faster, cheaper and of higher quality. You will lead a quarterly planning session with Product and Engineering leads, perform resource capacity planning, build-out project schedules, and communicate the finalized the plan at the beginning of quarter. You will lead both Product and Technology driven project teams within your programs: translate business requirements into technical deliverables, understand technical infrastructure challenges and feasibilities, and work drive high quality in the execution plan.

  • Define program scope, deliverables and practices that support business and organizational objectives in collaboration with senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and consulting for projects in alignment with the applicable frameworks. Familiarity in applying Agile at scale.
  • Provide the forecasting on the project deliverables including carry-over and new projects for the upcoming quarter.
  • Lead quarterly planning sessions with Product and Engineering lead to establishing the baseline requirements, scope, and dates as well as complete resource capacity planning per LOE, priorities, resource availability:
  • Collaborating with Engineering leads to bringing all the required high-level effort estimates for prioritized projects.
  • Perform the engineering resource capacity planning to align with Product and Engineering priorities and initial scopes.
  • Build out the baseline SDLC schedule for projects based on capacity planning.
  • Publish the finalized quarterly program portfolio & roadmap in Exec Dashboard and communicate the plan to all key company stakeholders.
  • Hands-on management of parallel project delivery across multiple teams within a group
  • Proactively manage across stakeholder groups to establish interdependencies, identify risks, and resource constraints, and eliminate significant roadblocks in a timely fashion.
  • Effectively collaborate with other leaders and stakeholders to address key issues and roadblocks aggressively and in time.
  • Ensure measurable KPIs are developed for the program, and that they align to the overall KPIs for the product.
  • Create and manage clear Gating Criteria with business partners, stakeholders, and teams for Go/No-go decisions.
  • Ensure regular, active communication and updates with programs and external stakeholders, including cross geo teams.
  • Identify program impediments and address including proper escalation to individuals/groups as appropriate.
  • Lead program retrospectives and commitment to improvement on a regular cadence
  • Create, optimize and participate in standardized visibility constructs for team to disseminate project and business metric information to stakeholders.
  • Help identify and drive continual improvement and innovation practices in supporting team commitments and elevate innovation thinking.
  • Remain flexible to changing business priorities, open to latest ideas and have Conviva success firmly in focus.

What you bring to the role 

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
  • 8+ years of development, quality, or program management experience with multi-group / multi-disciplinary projects in a product company.
  • Record of accomplishment of successful delivery of large and varied projects at scale
  • Demonstrated experience influencing and interacting at both teams and senior management levels in facilitating process improvements.
  • Highly customer focused and passionate about making them successful.
  • Adapt at quickly assimilating both business and technical mindset and jargon.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in managing development across multiple devices, e.g., web, mobile, set-top box, etc.
  • Experience with online video advertising technologies
  • Experience in launching new products and features to enterprise customers.
  • Experience in VC-backed company that scaled up rapidly and/or went public.
  • Experience delivering at least one real-time product at a high scale.
  • MS or other advanced degree
  • One or more Agile or PMP certifications (CSM, CSPO, PMI-ACP, CSP, CSC, etc.)
  • Experience specifically with communication, speech, mobile and CRM technologies and solutions.
