Our team is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to design, manage and create engaging blended learning experiences in our training and certification programs for our customers, partners, employees, and prospects. 

Reporting to the Manager of Training and Certification, this person will be responsible for developing digital assets and interactive content related to Conviva’s products; building, maintaining, and managing online courses and content in the Learning Management System (LMS); and troubleshooting and problem-solving all LMS course asset challenges and blockers.

 

What you get to do:

  • Collaborate with Sr. Instructional Content Designer and SMEs to assess training projects as well as define learning goals and alignment with strategic business objectives, complete task analysis, and build a course organization map.
  • Identify and design course learning activities and modalities, assessments, and content needed.
  • Craft a storyboard for review with SMEs ahead of development.
  • Use various learning development tools to build engaging learning experiences in-line with design plan.
  • Advocate for the learner and effective achievement of learning objectives throughout the instructional design process.
  • Mentor and guide content developers as key contributors to the process.
  • Complete reviews of portfolio development projects from an instructional design perspective, giving feedback to content creators as needed to ensure high quality results that meet audience needs.
  • Contribute to the evolution of development processes for the department by applying instructional design theory and standard methodologies.
  • Collaborate with the LMS Administrator and appropriate stakeholders to assess ongoing efficiency of training in driving confidence and adoption of Conviva solution.
  • Actively engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of learning theories, pedagogies, and technological developments that can level-up capabilities on the team.
  • Lead and assist in other activities related to training content design, development, management, and execution.
  • Provide support for content creation including compiling assets, organizing video scripts, and providing feedback to Content Developer and/or vendors.
  • Maintain an understanding of the features, functionality, processes, and best practices of the Conviva platform and streaming industry.

What you bring to the role:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in instructional design.
  • A specialist in adult learning theories and methodologies (Bloom’s Taxonomy, Gagne, Kirkpatrick’s Levels of Evaluations) and learning development processes (ADDIE).
  • Experience building courses and content within an LMS required. TalentLMS a plus.
  • Experience building assets and creating interactive content using tools such as Camtasia, Captivate and Vimeo required.
  • Experience with HTML and CSS strongly preferred.
  • Experience using Atlassian or JIRA as a project tracking tool preferred.
  • Training experience preferred. Streaming, advertising or business intelligence, analytics or learning certification experience a plus.
  • Highly adept with technology and quick to learn new technologies and apply solutions.
  • Ability to grasp complex business and technology concepts quickly and be a self-starter to identify problems, evaluate options, implement, and initiate solutions.
  • Excellent project and time management skills, especially the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within aggressive timelines.
