Conviva is seeking a Solutions Architect supporting our Advertising Insights product line.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in pre-sales or technology consulting in OTT video, ad tech, or mar tech.  They will act as a trusted advisor for strategic clients, leading complex problem-solving and integration initiatives across a diverse set of user groups. As a customer-facing technologist, the candidate must have excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

 

What you get to do:

Solutions Architects are the technical heavy artillery within the Conviva field sales team.  Leveraging their breadth of technical knowledge, they function as subject matter experts in both pre and post sales environments as well as advanced consulting engagements.  The Solutions Architect for advertising will bring subject matter expertise in end-to-end video ad serving, measurement, and ad sales workflows.  They will be highly data-literate, going often to the whiteboard to design detailed data architecture or workflows.  They will also be a thought leader, participating in industry bodies and growing Conviva’s own body of knowledge.

The Ad Insights solution is a key initiative for Conviva. The Solutions Architect will support Sales and Corporate Development globally on all advertising solutions opportunities through full project lifecycle.  This includes qualification, sales presentations, POCs, and deployment projects.  Identifying novel use cases for our advertising technology based on market feedback and scoping pilot-to-production implementations is critical as this role is expected to both scale our delivery of solutions and grow our range of applications.

The Solutions Architect should be able to “walk the talk” with diverse stakeholders in advertising teams at clients and serve as the voice of the customer internally.  They will be an important source of customer-first feedback, guiding Conviva on priorities, features, and potential partnerships as we further solidify our unique market position. The ability to innovate and influence among technical and non-technical internal stakeholders is essential.

A successful Solutions Architect must be outgoing, organized, and results-oriented. The ideal candidate will be comfortable presenting and sharing ideas with senior executives, eager to engage with peers in the industry, and credible in front of other technologists. A successful Solutions Architect is also curious, listening and asking questions in order to uncover new opportunities and create more value for our customers.

Our customers use data daily to drive intelligent measurable business decisions.  It is critical for a Solutions Architect to understand and design data-driven workflows, models, or visualizations.  The Solutions Architect must be able to communicate with data and serve as an advisor to stakeholders in data-intensive roles.

 

What you bring to the role:

  • 8+ years of professional work experience in SaaS, digital technology.
  • 2+ years proven work experience in client-facing technology or consulting role; Sales Engineer/Solutions Architect/Solutions. Engineer in a revenue-driven role supporting enterprise clients is preferred.

  • Familiarity with video ad serving and streaming video technology.
  • Knowledge of measurement, including demographics and verification.
  • Knowledge of ad selling or buying workflows, such as order management, forecasting, and campaign management.
  • Expertise in ad tech ecosystem, including ad servers, programmatic platforms, and SSAI.

  • Experience analyzing and working with big data sets.
  • Creative problem solver with the ability to think outside the box and quickly adapt to change.
  • Deep passion regarding technology and streaming video.
  • Keen attention to detail and consistent follow-through to commitments.
  • Ability to work autonomously and to prioritize tasks while managing a diverse workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to ask the right question to uncover pain points and propose solutions.
  • Excellent English speaking, communication, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Experience leading or conducting meetings and presentations to C-level executives and other technical customers.
  • Comfortable balancing the intersection of technology and business challenges.
  • The ability to read a room picking up on non-verbal communication while adjusting tone and technical depth to the target audience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% across the region.
  • BS in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
