As a staff big data engineer, you are a technical expert in dealing with terabytes of data in real time. You will build AI systems with the latest big data and ML technologies to solve challenging problems in the video streaming industry to improve content and advertising experiences. You will lead major initiatives in technology innovation and advancement, lead and contribute to the design and implementation of major new products and features with high quality in production that will have big business impact for years to come. You will also work across teams and organizations, help in establishing technical standards and driving the overall technical architecture and best engineering practices through design reviews, architecture discussions and other technical leader activities.

What you get to do:

  • Design, build, maintain, and improve new and existing suite of algorithms and their underlying systems.
  • Implement end-to-end solutions for real-time and batch algorithms along with tooling around monitoring, logging, automated testing, performance testing and A/B testing.
  • Contribute to and promote good software engineering practices across team.

What do you bring to the role:

  • 6+ years of industry experience in software development.
  • 4+ years of experience with big data frameworks, such as Spark, Flink, Hadoop/Hive, etc.
  • 2+ years of experience with designing, building, and deploying machine learning models and pipelines with high scalability and performance.
  • Strong programming skills in Scala, Java, Python, or similar language.
  • Proven track records in leading the delivery of statistical models and ML agorithms for solving real customer use cases with significant business impact.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Comfortable with fast paced work environment.
