About the Role:

Mynd is looking for a Financial Analyst to help with FP&A, analyzing and reviewing business performance, and investigating major variances. This individual will support the finance team as they provide strategic and financial support to senior management including preparing board presentations, financial presentations, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities, and other ad-hoc projects requested by senior management. This entry-level role will provide consistent opportunity to interact with and drive action throughout all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist managers with creation of financial proposals, monthly/quarterly reports 
  • Distill large and/or ambiguous data sets into action-oriented conclusions / summaries
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support to influence decision making with a financial perspective
  • Support Accounting and Finance in various month-end closing activities
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the company’s financial business strategies 
  • Perform market research to identify selected KPIs
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

 

About you:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a demanding, change-oriented, fast-paced environment
  • Strong ability to take initiative and self-start when necessary
  • Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines with an emphasis on attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to build partnerships and establish rapport and credibility at all levels

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree. Preferred degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business or related program
  • 1-2 years of experience in corporate finance (FP&A), investment banking, corporate development, business development, or related role 
  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, statement of cash flows
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office and Google Suite products
