We are looking for an experienced Android developer, who is open to new challenges, technologies, and team fun. We are the Growth group in Picsart, which is responsible for new features, short and long onboarding activities, and experiments. We experiment with every feature, we are not afraid of failures, but ready to learn from those and thrive to success.

  • Write clean, concise code that is stable and extensible;
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application, debug and resolve production issues as needed;
  • Explain technologies and solutions to technical and non-technical PMs;
  • Communicate frequently and effectively with other engineers in addition to our product managers and creative team;
  • Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code;
  • Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in mobile technologies and utilize top industry technologies;
  • Focus on Material Design and a substantial focus on UI;
  • Work closely with engineering teams, train and mentor new team members;

Required Qualifications: 

  • BS, MA or Ph.D. in Math, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or another quantitative field
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Experience in building Android Apps from scratch up
  • Experience in building out Mobile Apps
  • Experience with Core Java development
  • Experience with REST and JSON
  • Experience with Kotlin
  • Experience with iOS is a plus
  • Experience with Android Architecture Components
  • Experience with Image Processing is a plus
  • Knowledge of Android SDK (and NDK ) development, including best practices, APIs, libraries, including popular 3rd party APIs
  • Familiar with multithreading
  • Advanced written and verbal English communication skills.
