Picsart is looking for an Engineering Manager to join the Data SDK team of Data Infrastructure group to help scale and manage the team and technologies. We enable implementation of a range of clients such as tracking, AB experiments, cloud configuration for platforms like mobile (android and ios), web and desktop. Mentioned clients (sdks) are a crucial part of the data infrastructure which helps Picsart make data informed decisions for product and business development.

 
Responsibilities:
  • Support, invest in and develop an incredible team of talented and motivated engineers with clear expectations via practises such as 1:1s, goal setting, and constant feedback
  • Create a high performing and positive work environment based on transparency, accountability, and trust
  • Create growth opportunities for team members and address gaps via non-technical skills mentoring and performance management. Help make our people shine!
  • Grow and coach your direct reports - you are expected to manage a team of 4-8 individual contributors
  • Recruit world-class talent for your engineering team
  • Collaborate with the product manager in roadmap creating, feature planning, dependency management, risk management and continuous process improvement for an optimal flow (with appropriate use of metrics)
  • Be responsible for roadmap execution and delivery of projects with high quality
  • Collaborate with other teams to unblock dependencies
  • Provide visibility and transparency to team progress on product initiatives
  • Act as a facilitator in technical discussions
  • Distil complex information into easy-to-understand concepts, and lead a team through ambiguity
  • Support decisions about high-level tech solutions, help your engineers make the right choice with your development experience

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of engineering management experience of building and leading successful and highly-performed Agile teams
  • Background in mobile development (iOS/Kotlin/Swift/Objective-C)
  • Strong understanding and track record of designing Android and iOS app architectures like MVC, MVP or MVVM
  • Track record of implementing Monitoring and Observability best practices for mobile and web applications with hundreds of millions of events per day
  • General understanding of Backend ecosystems
  • Experience with AWS and/or GCP as well as Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines 
  • Good understanding of analytics concepts and experience using one of the popular analytics platforms such as Facebook Analytics, Google Analytics, Google Optimize, or Mixpanel
  • Proven track record of building and leading excellent tech teams while driving business as well
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear business focus
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Extraordinary organizational and planning skills
  • Advanced written and verbal English communication skills
