What Picsart is looking for in applicants

Introduction

These are exciting opportunities to join an extremely fast-paced and dynamic global consumer tech company. Picsart is the world’s #1 creative platform and social editing app with a huge 150+ million monthly active users and an install base of more than 1 billion. These positions can be based in the UK, particularly London or Glasgow as we look to flex our remote arrangements with occasional office spaces. We are also considering applications from Armenia and Europe.

Learn about the Team Platform

As a business, we recognise the need for continuous innovation and that often means venturing into new verticals and industries. We've uncovered a big opportunity to expand from casual consumer use on mobile, to professionals, small to midsize companies, and teams that are using our creative tools for their business. This is why we launched our Web product a year ago.

Having established early product-market fit for individual professionals, we are now preparing to address the creative storytelling needs of teams. To move aggressively towards supporting teams better in their end-to-end asset creation process, we are creating a way for marketers, team leads, CEO's and other managers to add their peers, partners and employees to create team accounts and co-create.

This role will join the very early team in articulating the vision of the product and the phases in which it will be brought to life. You will have the unique opportunity to design and ship a strategic product from scratch (this includes lots of prototyping and user research!) which will turn Picsart into a creative productivity platform for teams, making it an integral part of how millions of users work to visualise and power their brand.

Principal Product Designers at Picsart

Principal Product Designers differentiate themselves through the ability to own large, highly-strategic projects. They are considered experts across a broad range of design and are expected to provide structured mentorship and technical training for 1-3 Designers to help them grow and mirror that expertise.

They have excellent communication skills and are able to present design vision and rationale in a compelling and convincing manner to a diverse set of stakeholders. They build relationships and forge alliances, influencing decision makers outside of Design.

They represent the Design department holistically, exemplify the Picsart culture and are generous with their time and knowledge.

They uncover and solve unique, unidentified, complex problems across Picsart, demonstrating critical and innovative thinking to achieve this. They lead design production for an entire business unit or several smaller teams. Principals typically possess the historical knowledge necessary to contribute across broad areas of the company.

They possess the toolkit to not only deliver impressive design solutions, but demonstrate project management, business intelligence and operational rigour which enables them to command the confidence of peers elsewhere in the org. As a trusted expert, they are held accountable for design quality and cohesion across the product, continually raising the bar of what is expected.

What we seek and value most in our candidates
Professionalism in both soft and hard skills; motivation to grow, learn and share, positive attitude, flexibility, transparency, ownership and the most important - passion and commitment.
