About the role:

We are looking for a Data Analyst to be part of Robinhood's fast paced and exciting Clearing Operations Data Solutions and Analytics team. The team is responsible for building out components of our operational data mart, dashboards, and automation in support of Robinhood Securities' clearing operations. You will foster strong relationships and work closely with partners in operations, engineering, and product teams to understand business challenges and ideate, propose, and develop automated data solutions. A successful candidate will have a solid technical background as well as knowledge of the financial markets and broker-dealer operations.

What you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Partner closely with key stakeholders to identify key metrics, and improve, de-risk, and scale Robinhood's products, systems, and clearing operations processes
  • Develop easily digestible dashboards of meaningful product and operations information via data visualization tools such as Looker
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis using quantitative analytics techniques to uncover new insights to support strategic decision making to advance clearing operations and the products we support
  • Develop ETL pipelines for automation, anomaly detection and alerting, reconciliations, as well as ad-hoc reports or data extracts to support business processes

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, economics, mathematics, statistics, engineering, finance or related field
  • 2-5 years of qualifying experience in a professional data analysis capacity
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R programming languages to drive data analysis and solutions
  • Passion for performing data deep dives and using statistical techniques to uncover meaningful insights; poses a high degree of natural curiosity
  • Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and apply problem-solving skills to resolve issues and implement process improvements

Bonus points:

  • Experience working at a fast-paced financial services company
  • Experience with Looker in a developer capacity (writing LookML, creating Views and Explores, building dashboards, etc.)

  • PostgreSQL as our primary data store
  • Python (Django, Pandas, PySpark)
