In this role, MongoDB is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Tax Analyst, looking to continue their career in tax, to join our international finance team located in Gurgaon, India. The Tax Analyst will work closely with the Tax Team based in Ireland and the US.  To be successful, this team member must have the ability to adapt quickly and operate effectively in a rapidly scaling, dynamic environment and align well with MongoDB’s core values.  This is a great opportunity to join and grow with a strong finance team at a high growth company.

Shift Timings - 02 PM - 10 PM

This role is remote optional until April 1, 2022.  We are looking to speak to candidates who plan to be available in Gurugram Office for when we introduce our hybrid model.

Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with Billing Team and assist with WHT queries from customers
• Preparation of quarterly and year-end corporate income tax provision packs of international entities for US GAAP reporting and local statutory reporting
• Review and reconciliation of corporate tax provision to tax return
• Assist with review of corporate tax and VAT balances included in local statutory financial statements 
• Ensure that corporate tax payments are paid on time
• Prepare VAT reports and liaise with external advisors on the review of WHT and VAT returns
• Assist with all tax matters around month end close, including preparation of corporate tax balance sheet reconciliations and booking tax accruals 
• Collaborate and support tax team on global tax projects
• Assist with tax audits, including gathering information to be sent to tax office
• Assist with ad-hoc finance tasks

Requirements:

• Experience working in a technology company, or having a global technology client
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to communicate effectively with external consultants and internal teams. 
• Strong track record of meeting deadlines and resolving queries 
• Strong MS Excel and numerical skills 
• Experience with NetSuite and Avalara prefereable
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multi geographical team in a dynamic fast paced environment 
• Finance degree with emphasis in tax
• 2+ years of relevant experience
