About the team: 

The finance and control group is primarily responsible for the firm compliance with SEC, FINRA and other regulatory agencies rules and regulations. The group compiles, reviews and prepares Financial regulatory reporting for entities within Robinhood , including but not limited to Permissible Investment, Net worth, customer reserve

(SEA Rule 15c3-3), net capital computation 15c3-1. 

We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Financial regulatory reporting team. The financial analyst will be in charge of preparing and assisting in producing these computations and reports.

The Financial analyst interacts and coordinates with colleagues in product, business solution, accounting, back office operation, compliance and other departments across the Company to ensure financial regulatory reporting related issues and concerns are considered and addressed promptly.

What you’ll do day-to-day:

• Primarily responsible for preparing daily permissible investment computation and periodical net worth computation for multiple entities and filing periodically with regulatory agencies as per the firm policy and procedures. 
• Create and run queries to validate and support key reports and controls.
• Support project analysis, validation of plans, and ad-hoc requests/ Working with the business team for future plans.
• Review key reports and trends daily and research significant differences using available resources.
• Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for company leadership
• Follow up on project updates and provide up to date information to the group.
• Assist in preparation of monthly regulatory reports, including FOCUS and supplemental schedules
• Prepare accurate and complete reconciliation of ledgers and research to ensure open items and discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
• Prepare/assist weekly and month end customer and PAB reserve computation as per SEA Rule 15c3-3.

About you:

• At the minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar field of studies.
• Knowledge of financial reporting and data mining tools such as SQL, Access, etc.
• Able to apply accounting concepts and policies in the preparation and review of financial transactions which may include but are not limited to, inter-company transactions, high volume complex accruals and prepaid expenses across a large number of accounts and monthly re-classes.
• Knowledge and experience of internal control over financial reporting and compliance (ICFR and ICOC).

Bonus points:

• Have a working knowledge of regulatory reporting for money transmitting Companies
• Knowledge and experience of internal control over financial reporting and compliance.
• CPA or MBA
