The database market is massive (IDC estimates it to be $121B+ by 2025!) and MongoDB is at the head of its disruption. At MongoDB we are transforming industries and empowering developers to build amazing apps that people use every day. We are the leading modern data platform and the first database provider to IPO in over 20 years. Join our team and be at the forefront of innovation and creativity.
To meet this demand, we are looking for a passionate technical expert in manufacturing and related industries to join our growing remote/flexible, globally-dispersed Industry Solutions Team. Our objective is to align MongoDB as an industry solution and ensure we understand enterprise clients and their needs to modernize software legacies, transition to modern solutions, and guide them through continuous data-driven modernization. This particular role will be broad across manufacturing and energy - both with tons of IOT use cases, so we’re seeking someone preferably who has worked for either/both industries, or is willing to dive deeply and lead both, as well as willing to keep their thumb on the pulse of the most current and progressive innovations, trends, and needs of those industries worldwide.
MongoDB Industry Solutions Principals are the most senior members of the team and work directly with the C-Suite of our clients and partners. They are the subject matter experts of each industry, delivering thought leadership and practical directions in industry-specific data challenges. This involves generating content (i.e. webinars, white papers, blogs, events, presentations, etc.) on industry-specific solutions, in this case manufacturing. The second leg of this role is direct account engagements with major enterprise and government clients, to help business leaders understand the vision of how MongoDB is the right approach for their industry’s challenges, wants, and needs. These responsibilities require a happy medium of technical knowledge as well as people, presentation, and thought leadership skills. MongoDB Principals are the senior team members communicating the trends and direction of MongoDB’s platform to customers, partners and participate in industry forums and standardization efforts (e.g. COVESA, OSDU and others). The team is very hands-on and our responsibilities range from early research into future solutions, collaboration with external partners and generating materials for sales teams to ensure success when interacting with clients. Superb communication and presentation skills are a paramount prerequisite.
You'll work closely with a broad variety of functions inside the whole company, ranging from product, partners, marketing and sales. You will play a key role in winning deals and driving the business forward and will be a trusted advisor to a wide range of clients from startups to the world's largest enterprise IT organizations. Your core focus is the understanding of the fast moving space of industry standards, cloud compliance, regulators and boards around the world.
This role will be based remotely in Toronto or Calgary, CAN.
To drive the personal growth and business impact of our employees, we’re committed to developing a supportive and enriching culture for everyone. From employee affinity groups, to fertility assistance and a generous parental leave policy, we value our employees’ wellbeing and want to support them along every step of their professional and personal journeys.
