We're seeking a Design Program Management Intern to learn and grow alongside our seasoned  Creative and Design Operations team. We believe successful Design Program Managers are collaborative, empathetic natural leaders who get real satisfaction from connecting great people and ideas to create amazing designs.

As an intern, you’ll work on meaningful projects that support Product Design, Design Systems, Brand, and UX Research, with a special focus on internal processes and solutions that help elevate our 60-person Design team. 

Depending on your areas of interest within Design Operations, we’ll match you with a project that leaves a lasting legacy of your contributions to our team. You might help manage projects, support team culture initiatives, develop process improvements, identify and procure new software, write and design easy-to-digest wiki pages, manage user research participation, or streamline whole-team operations. 

What we are looking for in you 

  • In the process of receiving a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Liberal Arts, Design, UX/UI Design, Communications, Sociology, Psychology, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, or a related field
  • Highly organized, motivated self-starter
  • Have some exposure to design, research, front-end engineering, or other creative fields 
  • Love to solve problems and can spot patterns in seemingly disorganized spaces
  • Prioritization skills with a knack for great timing 
  • Enjoy building relationships with a wide variety of personalities 
  • Some experience leading projects or people is ideal (whether as part of a school project, volunteering, paid work, or another setting)
  • Knowledge of project management and/or design tools is a plus

MongoDB internships are full-time (40 hours/week) for 10 or 11 consecutive weeks lasting from dates in June until August. Applicants should have a minimum of one quarter/semester remaining in their studies after their internship concludes.
