About the role

We’re looking for an organized and enthusiastic Customer Communications Writer to join our Content team. Our writers help to continuously define, craft, and deliver outstanding product, marketing, security, crisis, education, and regulatory required communications to our customers. The ideal candidate has a deep empathy for customers, believes in Robinhood’s mission, and knows how to define and deliver high quality content to a consumer audience. We’re looking for someone who loves learning, editing, coaching, being part of a team, and building strong cross-functional partnerships. Robinhood content is known for digestible content; the ideal candidate will share that knack and have a bias for brevity too.

Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Writing and editing copy for customer-facing communications in collaboration with Product, Ops, Social, Comms, Brand, Marketing, and other teams, in the unique voice of our brand
  • Delivering a coordinated brand experience and helping to define and evolve the brand voice of Robinhood
  • Maintaining consistent tone of voice across channels and write for various teams for internal messaging needs as needed
  • Partnering with research and data to better understand our customers, their needs, wants, hopes—and writing to fit them
  • Managing, organizing, and prioritizing requests for customer communications with other writers and content operations managers
  • Working with cross-functional counterparts, specifically legal and compliance teams, to get necessary approvals and sign-offs
  • Tracking, analyzing and improving customer communication metrics over time

Some things we consider critical for this role:

  • At least 3-5+ years of professional writing experience in a consumer-facing role
  • Experience writing for cross-channel campaigns including email, in-app, push-notifications, etc.
  • Ability to take sophisticated, technical information and turn it into compelling and easy-to-understand language
  • Portfolio of work demonstrating creative and customer-focused copy for digital campaigns

Bonus points:

  • Experience working both in-house or at creative agencies
  • A meticulous attention to detail
  • A love for puns
