Customer Advocacy at Drift

We’re growing the Customer Advocacy team at Drift to support our customer programs as our product portfolio and customer base expand. Part of the broader Product Marketing team, the function of Customer Advocacy is to engage, nurture, and activate customer advocates through world-class programs that differentiate us from the competition and highlight the successes and experiences of our customers.

This role will report to the Senior Manager of Customer Advocacy. You will be responsible for supporting and executing existing programs that both nurture and highlight our customer advocates. These programs include providing deal support to the Sales org through customer reference calls and customer evidence, parlaying key product insights from our Customer Advisory Board to the Product org, and developing strategies to transform customers into evangelists. Cross-functional collaboration is key, and you will align with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to drive innovation and activation across the customer journey.

You know how to engage and motivate advocates and you have the communication skills to act as a liaison between customers and the rest of the business. Creating measurable outcomes by Impacting pipeline is important to you, and above all, you strive to create an incredible experience for our customers. 

What you’ll be doing on the team:

  • Manage customer reference request fulfillment and track reference activity and outcomes.
  • Develop methods of sourcing customer advocates from across the customer lifecycle.
  • Build processes to support regular customer outreach, advocate nurturing, and advocate participation.
  • Help track, report, and prove efficacy of the customer advocacy program.
  • Drive and report on review activity across software review platforms.
  • Support sales enablement through creation of customer evidence resources and turn customer stories into emotional and inspiring brand awareness content.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop internal campaigns that drive Sales and Customer Success participation in advocacy programs.
  • Fulfill customer gifts and rewards for advocacy activities.
  • Help drive sales wins through development and support of customer referral program.
  • Support Customer Advisory Board program as we expand regionally. 

What skills you will bring to the job:

  • 2+ years experience in a marketing, sales, or customer-centric role.
  • Superb written and oral communication skills. This role demands someone with a penchant for storytelling and an understanding of the power that comes from getting it ‘just right’ both online and offline. 
  • A drive to understand our internal and external technology landscape to hold meaningful conversations with customers.
  • Experience developing relationships with customers and key stakeholders. 
  • Experience collaborating cross-departmentally to achieve results.
  • An appetite to prove outcomes over activities.
  • SaaS marketing experience preferred.
