About the team:

The Financial Crimes Team at Robinhood works across a number of verticals in an effort to protect our customers, and ensure compliance with all relevant Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions rules and regulations. As our Team of passionate professionals continues to evolve the program, we are focused on leveraging innovative thinking and technology to create a best-in-class Financial Crimes Program.

We're looking for a motivated self-starter to join our team and focus on quality control. As a Financial Crimes, Quality Control Manager, you’ll be responsible for building out a quality control program across the Financial Crimes team, which is inclusive of transaction monitoring, trade surveillance, case investigations, enhanced due diligence, sanctions and more. You’ll strategize quality control by ensuring operational processes are in line with standard operating procedures, performing assessments and tracking quality metrics, and use data to test and improve SLAs. This role will be critical to ensuring high standards of quality for Robinhood’s Financial Crimes team.

What you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Design and implement a quality control/assurance program across all aspects of Robinhood’s AML and Sanctions Programs.
  • Use advanced knowledge to provide guidance in the design, assessment, implementation and/or administration of complex quality assurance/control programs, practices and policies.
  • Identify and evaluate quality standards, measurements, and process improvements to ensure they are aligned with internal practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Use quality methods and tools to identify, analyze, improve, and implement effective and efficient business solutions.
  • Perform independent assessments to identify training needs and improvement opportunities for program effectiveness.
  • Brief key stakeholders on results, trends, and initiatives, and recommends courses of action.
  • Manage the Quality Control team including performance management and feedback.
  • Serve as a functional expert and coach to peers and team members and acts as a resource for escalated issues of an unusual nature.
  • Liaise and collaborate with quality teams within Financial Crimes and each of Robinhood’s legal entities to ingest and share results of quality reviews.
  • Identify and track quality metrics for each function of Robinhood’s Financial Crimes team
  • Build and deliver digestible quality reports
  • Assist in maintaining and standardizing standard operating procedures
  • Help assess operational quality and design and track improvement tactics
  • Partner with specialists and managers across all areas of Financial Crimes to understand workflows
  • Identify and support opportunities for quality improvement across the department

About you:

  • Passion for Robinhood’s products and our mission to democratize finance for all
  • Ability to learn quickly, think critically, and apply problem-solving skills to build a scalable program
  • Experience with QC/QA process design and quality assessments
  • Experience in analyzing data, identifying trends, and influencing decisions on recommended strategies to remedy issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement of core processes to ensure quality is maintained while efficiency is optimized
  • Resourceful and adaptive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments; strong bias to action
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Strong Attention to detail
  • Resourceful and adaptive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments; strong bias to action
  • 5+ years experience in Financial Crimes Compliance, Audit or QC/QA profession; Bachelor’s in finance, business, or quantitative field
  • 3+ years leading and developing strong teams
  • Strong management toolkit with a reputation for leaving thriving employees in your wake
  • Ability to produce, track, and display data in a digestible way

Bonus points:

  • Strong Robinhood product knowledge
  • Experience with QC/QA process design and quality assessments
  • Experience with Actimize QAS Module
  • Experience interfacing with technical and non technical teams
  • SQL & python skills
  • SIE, Series 7, Series 24, and Series 63 licenses
  • Professional Certifications (e.g. ACAMS, CFCS , CFE, amd CRCM)
