Our global community of professional coaches and the individuals they serve are at the heart of our business. As a Coach Development Specialist, you will be a part of the world class Coach Experience team responsible for hosting delightful, innovative, and highly enriching development experiences for our coach community. Your contribution to this team will be to design and elevate learning and development for our coaches through top notch learning science and content expertise with a focus on quality, efficiency and creativity. The learning strategies and programs you will develop will drive coach quality and effectiveness for various programs and across the coach experience.Example projects include onboarding new BetterUp Coaches to the platform, preparing BetterUp Coaches for customer deployments, and elevating the community of practice through the development of evidence-based certifications. You will excel in this role if you have a deep passion for coaching and experience creating innovative learning experiences for professional audiences.

What you’ll do:

  • Act as an internal consultant to our go to market teams by providing expertise on what high quality coach solutions look like
  • Develop and present the business case for new learning and development programs, courses, resources and/or events
  • Design digital learning experiences, develop digital learning paths, and manage learning programs for global, diverse coach audience
  • Design curriculum to meet identified learning and development needs using an array of instructional design methodology, that focuses on current trends, best practices, and innovative ways to deliver, measure and assess learning
  • Manage projects through all phases and milestones including analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation
  • Elevate the learning standard and experience for our coaches including onboarding, deployment readiness and program readiness
  • Collaborate with functional course owners, subject matter experts, and target audience to gather information needed to conduct needs assessment of the learning and development content
  • Follow Adult Learning Methodology to identify and write learning objectives, storyboard content and design learning approaches
  • Lead and support high priority company initiatives and new offerings

If you have some or all of the following, please apply:

  • A BS/BA degree in I/O psychology, Organizational Development, learning and development, or a related field 
  • A certified coach and/or PhD/MA in psychologist a plus
  • At least 3 years of prior experience as a program owner or as a curriculum developer in a fast paced environment including comfort with managing projects with tight timelines and strong cross-functional stakeholder management
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas and concepts both written and orally
  • Understanding of evolving industry standards related to instructional design, learning and development, and digital learning experiences
  • Experience and interest in working with technology platforms and products
  • Interest in organizational behavior, diversity, and inclusion, positive psychology, coaching, or behavioral sciences, along with a passion and empathy for our BetterUp Coaches
