This is an opportunity that leverages close collaboration amongst members of corporate legal/compliance team, genuine willingness to prop up one another to reach solution oriented results for Doma. This position will assist the Deputy General Counsel in providing regulatory and legal support for corporate, and affiliated companies.  As Counsel, you’ll have the ability to multi-task and handle assignments on short deadlines, as well as provide comprehensive and thoughtful analysis of legal issues and recommendations on how to get to “yes” for business units. Must have a bias for action and ability to think outside the box for solutions. This role will offer exposure to a wide variety of company initiatives outside of handling traditional escrow and title issues, as well as ability to make a difference in an organization led by leaders who are agile, forward thinking and socially aware and responsible. 

  • Newest member of a small, dynamic legal team
  • Will report to Deputy General Counsel of Litigation and Regulatory Affairs
  • Will be responsible for researching regulatory issues nationally, interacting with state regulators and internal business customers
  • Collaborate with business units on development of new products
  • Provide ongoing regulatory support for business customers and operations

Experience needed for this role:

  • An attorney with combined 5 years in regulatory and title matters within the Real Estate industry.  National or multi-state experience is a plus.
  • Licensed in at least one state
