About This Role

As the Partner Manager you will need to move fast and cultivate successful business relationships. In this role you will be responsible for successfully signing & executing partnerships with key brand clients. This role is a unique combination of media sales and business development.

 

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will:

  • Create unique and immersive brand activations that drive athlete and partner value

  • Define the overall approach for the verticals you will own; develop work plans, create compelling sales propositions utilizing internal and external data

  • Be able to leverage your public presentation and persuasion skills as well as your executive presence

  • Get to work cross functionally to regularly aggregate client feedback to stakeholders in business and product

  • If interested, have the opportunity to mentor junior staff, train new hires, and manage interns

 

You will be successful here by:

  • Conceptualizing ways to bring market awareness to clients about business opportunities at Strava

  • Ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of partnership and operational customer service

  • Working collaboratively with your Operations counterpart to problem solve and establish sound and effective brand activations.

  • Having a knack for keeping “eyes on the prize” - constant knowledge of where we are in relationship to goal and what we need to do to get there

  • Achieving a quarterly revenue quota and other targets, setting a short and long term strategy for yourself

  • Always thinking about and communicating to leadership ways our process can be more efficient

 

We’re excited about you because:

  • You are extremely organized, have 5+ year experience in non-enterprise sales or business development, and have a great ability to thrive in an ever-changing start-up environment

  • You bring with you your experience and established relationships with executives at athletic brands and business partners

  • You know about the athletic business world, and/or keep your finger on the pulse of digital and social marketing trends

  • You have independent negotiation skills

  • You have the ability to take partner feedback and quickly pivot or rework the approach, while making sure to uphold Strava’s values and offering
