BetterUp is looking for a motivated, ambitious writer to join our Marketing team as a Brand Copywriter. You’ll craft copy for various campaigns, web, and brand materials and projects, in line with brand guidelines, voice, and tone, and make a lasting impact on how people experience our brand through these various channels. Experience in B2B and D2C is ideal. 

What you’ll do:

  • Responsibility over conception, ideation, and crafting copy across various marketing materials: email, website, ad, campaign channels, and more, influencing how our members experience our brand through storytelling
  • Craft messaging and position and find the best way to tell the story of human transformation, development, and growth using our data and insights
  • Edit and QA copy for grammar, spelling, and tone of voice
  • Collaborate with design and various teams to execute creative vision and strategy
  • Assist with optimizing copy process across teams
  • As part of our in-house marketing team, you will be involved in creative ideation and campaign strategy

If you have some or all of the following, please apply:

  • 5+ years marketing copywriting experience, preferably in a startup environment
  • Experience writing for B2B and D2C audiences
  • Experience writing copy for brand marketing (e.g. ads, landing pages, email marketing, social)
  • Ability to iterate and change gears quickly, working with different teams and channels to meet a common goal
  • Ability to translate member research and data into marketing content as well as brand language and stories
  • Well-developed communication skills including the ability to articulate creative concepts and rationale
  • Ability to get buy-in from executive leadership on copy strategy and rationale
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • A proven track record of gaining trust and respect by consistently demonstrating sound critical thinking skills 
  • Strong ownership, attention to detail, and follow-through skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to meet tight deadlines, flexibility with regard to quick turnarounds, and edits

This role will be a part of the Content Marketing team but will work cross-functionally to support Revenue Marketing, Product Marketing, Creative, Brand, and Experiential teams. The Brand Copywriter should be able to rapidly develop concepts and ideas, and refine our messaging to enterprise and direct-to-consumer members based on what resonates with each audience.
