As our direct-to-consumer Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will be eager to bring your storytelling and positioning expertise to the fold on Day One. You are excited about growing a new line of business and strategically shaping product offerings and marketing for the consumer world.

You love to concisely and clearly articulate a complex product story to any audience. You are driven by best practices, fueled by creativity, and inspired by BetterUp’s mission. You will be a critical part of our growing direct-to-consumer team as you bridge the gap between direct-to-consumer product, marketing, and the larger BetterUp business strategy and initiatives.

What you’ll do:

  • Structure how we go to market in the consumer business across different channels and use cases
  • Collaborate with product to position current product lines and offerings and build a strategic vision for future product lines and offerings
  • Understand our users’ thinking (e.g. pain points, catalysts) and drive changes to our marketing approach based on what you learn
  • Drive initiatives to support the acquisition and retention of users based on key target personas, including nurture, referrals, and more
  • Create internal collateral to educate the direct-to-consumer team on the key personas and problems we solve for users
  • Work with and educate enterprise product marketing about direct-to-consumer personas and product strategy to ensure consistency across enterprise and direct-to-consumer product positioning

If you have some or all of the following, please apply: 

  • 7-10 years of marketing experience in a consumer environment
  • Excitement to build a new line of business and launch new products
  • Strong structured and strategic thinking and ability to communicate ideas to others
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to make sound decisions with limited information
  • Experience taking a new consumer product to market 2 or more times
  • Experience developing and writing content across landing pages, product, and email
  • Experience and comfort collaborating and working with product and marketing teams
