Strava is hiring a Director of Product, Trust & Safety to lead our Trust & Safety Team. The Trust & Safety team identifies and solves the biggest problems that may put our athletes' physical and emotional safety at risk! In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop platform-wide solutions to mitigate abuse.

As the Director of Product, Trust & Safety, you will be responsible for growing and scaling teams, processes, and tools. You will be tasked with connecting the big-picture with the small details that make elegant and fully thought-through solutions. You will also develop strategy, drive roadmaps, build risk systems and platforms, increase automation, and ensure operational excellence.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will:

  • Develop, implement, own, and improve Trust & Safety processes

  • Design scalable prevention and detection solutions that account for growth and product innovation

  • Collaborate with key cross-functional stakeholders to mitigate risk across Strava

  • Produce metrics to show the performance of the fraud prevention teams and systems for use in management reporting

  • Manage complex escalations, including new policies and regulations, and quickly execute remediation strategies

  • Build solutions that improve Trust & Safety capabilities across our platforms while enhancing the customer experience and improving our product

You will be successful here by:

  • You can collaborate and influence at all levels of the organization effectively

  • You have experience working in fast-paced, high-growth, and results orientated environment

  • You have the ability to succeed in a highly collaborative team environment with multiple in-flight initiatives and stakeholders

  • You use Agile or Scrum methodologies to drive projects from ideation to launch

  • You can identify and analyze opportunities to improve the customer experience and drive operating efficiency to support the strategic and operational goals of Trust & Safety

We’re excited about you because:

  • 7+ years of consumer product management (or similar) experience. Familiarity with privacy, identity services and data accuracy issues is a big plus.

  • A proven record for collaborating with a world-class team to build successful products.

  • Experience working with ambiguity, make recommendations to a wide range of stakeholders, and deliver results
