We’re looking for a strong leader to establish, lead, and grow Asana’s first Ad Technology & Operations team. This new function will own the end-to-end management of our ad tech stack and operations. In this role, you’ll play a critical role in instilling the strategy to increase first party data, campaign automation, and process to power the acquisition of new customers.

 

What you’ll achieve

  • Deeply understand our business and define the strategy on how to increase the acquisition of new customers through technology and automation
  • Hire and lead Asana’s first ad tech & operations team
    • Foster a culture of speed, agility, and collaboration
    • Be the catalyst for your team to continuously reflect on how they can improve and create business impact
    • Build credibility with leadership, partnering with Growth Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Business Technology, Engineering, and Data Science leadership to identify and address opportunities for improvement
  • Establish an Ad Ops function, identify ways to increase ad automation and data accuracy
    • Triage and support technological issues with ad platforms (pixel bugs, API/pixel updates, coordination with vendors)
    • Oversee creative automation (design, configuration, and QA of pixels and tracking)
  • Define the process, policy, and standards for our ad tech stack, work with your team to:
    • Identify new ad technologies, work with technical partners to prioritize, instrument, and enable end users
    • Define standards for the administration and governance of our ad tech stack
    • Establish a process to implement new ad platforms (RFP, security review, pixel implementation, new user onboarding)
  • Be abreast of  industry trends and shifts, continually seeking ways to us to improve
    • Design Asana’s approach to third party cookie deprecation by identifying:
      • Areas of risk to our channel strategies, targeting, and measurement
      • Build a strategy around leveraging first party data within our ad platforms
    • Partner with Legal on privacy policies (GDPR, CCPA), translating policy into system requirements and process changes

About you

  • 3+ years of managing teams and developing top talent in the ad tech/ad operations space
  • 10+ years in the digital marketing space: ad operations, management of ad technology for search, social, & display advertising (e.g. GA360, DV360, GTM, Tealium, Adobe Audience Manager, Segment, etc.)
  • Experience navigating changes in global privacy policies and their impact to digital advertising
  • Strong collaboration and influence, you build bridges and knock through walls 
  • You inspire others through values and lead by example
  • Proven track record of continued success over time
